Below is a list of facts that should help you understand the responsibilities of our school community council:
A Community Council is a committee made up of Parents and Faculty to represent the needs of students and classes.
In our meetings, we discuss ways that Utah Land Trust monies can be and are spent for Castle Dale Elementary.
Land Trusts are designated areas in the state of Utah where profits are devoted to education throughout Utah.
Our school received $34,862.44 last school year, and we were given $33,593.99 for the the 2024-2025 school year.
The majority of the money we are allotted is used to pay for instructional aides. The remainder is used for classroom books, textbooks, and class magazines, keeping software current, on-line programs (such as IXL.com, Starfall Reading, Learning A-Z, i-Ready, Lexia, etc.), Professional Development resources, and technology such as Chromebooks and iPads.
Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings.
All meetings will be held at Castle Dale Elementary (any changes or additional meetings will be posted in advance).
We invite parents to consider serving on the School Community Council. An election is held during the Fall as needed.
